Like many event decorators in the area, my decision to open Lavish Decor Rentals & Design came from the planning and styling of my own wedding, however, Lavish was a company in the making long before the best day of my life!

I was one of those teenagers who just didn’t know which career to pursue in college, so at 17, I enlisted in the US Navy until I could figure it out. Sometime during my service, I discovered the profound effects one’s surroundings has on our overall mental and emotional health. I found a passion for beautifying and personalizing spaces. At that time, I thought I found the career of my dreams; interior design…

After much evaluation, I chose not to pursue this path. Life instead led me to a profession I have absolutely adored for over 18 years, the spa industry! In 2009 I opened my very own day spa in Norman, OK. A place I designed on my own from the ground up! It was a thrilling experience to put my talents towards creating a calm, healing atmosphere for clients to enjoy. Here I’ve learned the value of running a small business, creating relationships, and understanding clients’ needs while delivering the results they seek. Customer service comes naturally to me, as well as understanding the importance of presentation/attention to intricate details. Needless to say, the spa industry has been preparing me for this next chapter in my life!

It is when I got engaged to my husband that my professional life came full circle, for I have always wanted to design for a living. It was the planning of my own wedding that finally gave me the courage to just go for it! It was then when I realized why interior design was not meant for me. I was meant to be styling events, something I have done plenty of throughout the years for work and friends but never thought to do as a business.

My amazing and unforgettable wedding day was the eye opener I needed. My talents and capabilities as a designer are very much intact. It is not just that my passion for decorating makes me good at it, but I know what it takes to create a beautiful, jaw dropping space that will inspire emotions of happiness, love, joy, and excitement. It is the visual attraction coupled with profound feelings that make your celebration memorable, and that is what I and Lavish Decor Rentals and Design strive for!

In a nutshell, Lavish Decor Rentals & Design is my dream come true, and I owe it to every single client who books my services for being able to live it.  Because of this, it is with much gratitude that I put my whole heart into your event.
